SAUDI Blog: Tell us a summary of your professional career.
Bruno: I worked for 13 years at Unimed Costa do Sol (Macaé) in the Medical Accounts and Exchange area and today I have been working in the Care Costs area at Unimed Nova Iguaçu for a year.
SAUDI Blog: What was your problem before you met SAUDI?
Bruno: The biggest problems were typing all medical production, handling all glossing resources manually, the entire audit process manually and the impossibility of parameterizing rules and tables by provider.
SAUDI Blog: How did you find out about SAUDI and why did you decide to give it a vote of confidence?
Bruno: VOXIS/SAUDI was implemented in 2014/2015 at Unimed Costa do Sol (Macaé) where I participated in the implementation, to comply with RN 305 TISS 3.0 (electronic invoicing).
SAUDI Blog: Tell us a little about the difficulties you had when starting to use SAUDI.
Bruno: The biggest difficulty was convincing Unimed managers and service providers to accept the use of it.
SAUDI Blog: What are the results and transformation that the product has brought to your routine at the operator?
Bruno: Wonderful results in relation to cost control, billing management, process automation, audit automation (medical and nursing), parameterization of rules and tables by provider and automation of the glossing feature.
SAUDI Blog: What happened at your operator after obtaining the results through SAUDI, that you never imagined would be possible?
Bruno: Anticipation of the medical production process, anticipation of exchange charges and actuarial technical note with the PEONA reduction project, which in addition to reducing the requirement for technical reserves at ANS, we were able to withdraw and apply significant values to the operator through a resource that was committed to ANS and significantly increased our IDSS score. This project I am implementing here at Unimed Nova Iguaçu.
SAUDI Blog: After implementing SAUDI, which processes became easier within your operator?
Bruno: Cost control, billing management, process automation, audit automation (medical and nursing), parameterization of rules and tables per provider and automation of the glossing feature.
SAUDI Blog: How long did it take to notice cost control and reduction after implementing SAUDI?
Bruno: Within six months to one year, after completion of implementation.
SAUDI Blog: On average, how many percent did SAUDI help reduce your operator's costs? What about medical disallowance processes?
Bruno: In terms of cost reduction, it represented an average of 20% and the disallowance processes practically ceased to exist.
SAUDI Blog: Currently, in your day-to-day life as a manager, what is your main problem/pain that you face in your account management work?
Bruno: Parameterization of the provider's management system, technical auditing (nursing and medical) using the tool's resources and the accumulation of bills posted/sent at the end of the month.
SAUDI Blog: Would you recommend the SAUDI system?
Bruno: I definitely recommend it, an excellent software.
